The Booth That People Stop For — Custom AF1s for Trade Show Staff
What Coordinated Custom AF1s Do That Nothing Else on a Trade Show Floor Can
On a standard trade show floor, every booth has a banner. Every booth has matching polo shirts. Every booth has branded tote bags on the table. The visual sameness is the competitive landscape your booth lives in.
Trade show floor photography — event photographers, attendee social media, press coverage — almost always includes floor-level angles. A row of booth staff in coordinated custom branded AF1s photographs at that angle every time. It's a brand signal that is literally impossible to replicate with polo shirts and standard corporate apparel.
The conversation it starts is also different. "Where did you get those shoes?" leads directly to a qualified brand interaction. Nobody starts a booth conversation with "where did you get that polo shirt."
- Ground-level brand signal — visible in all floor photography angles
- Differentiates your booth visually before an attendee reads a single word
- Staff wear the pairs after the show — brand impressions extend beyond the floor
- Coordinated pairs photograph as a unified brand aesthetic, not just matching clothes
- Show-specific customization (show name + year) makes each event's pairs collectible
- Pantone color matching ensures brand standards are maintained across all pairs

Three Approaches to Trade Show Staff Coordination
Most trade show orders use one of these three approaches. Each can be mixed — describe the approach in the design request and the free mock-up shows the exact execution.
Uniform Brand Coordination
Every staff member receives the same pair — same design, same colors, same logo placement. Maximum visual coherence on the floor. Every attendee who looks at any staff member sees the same brand signal.
Same Brand, Different Role
Same color scheme and logo across all staff, with subtle differentiation by role — a gold swoosh for sales, silver for support, different heel tab color for executives. Maintains brand coherence while creating visual hierarchy.
Coordinated but Personal
Same design on every pair, but each staff member's name is painted on the heel tab. Highest staff engagement — people wear pairs they feel are theirs. They keep them longer, wear them more, and generate more post-show impressions.
Managing Sizes for a Trade Show Staff Order
| Staff Count | Min Lead Time | Sizing Sheet Needed By |
|---|---|---|
| 2–4 pairs | 6–8 weeks | Week of design approval |
| 5–10 pairs | 8–10 weeks | Within 1 week of order confirmation |
| 11–20 pairs | 10–12 weeks | Within 48 hours of order confirmation |
| 21–35 pairs | 12–14 weeks | At time of design approval |
| 36–50 pairs | 13–15 weeks | At time of design approval |
| 51+ pairs | Contact for timeline | Contact for program pricing |
Sizing Coordination Notes
AF1s run half a size large. Advise staff to order half a size down from their normal shoe size, or reference the size guide at stylereels.net/size-guide/
Submit a sizing sheet with each staff member's name and requested size. StyleReels confirms sizing against Nike AF1 availability before production begins.
Mix men's and women's sizes freely within the same order — both sizing systems are available on the same base shoe.
Build in a buffer. Order 1–2 extra pairs in common sizes for last-minute staff additions. Unused pairs can be used at the next show.
All pairs ship together to your address. Split shipment is available on request for multi-location teams.
